To support SMEs in their business continuity planning

Singapore, 12 February 2020 – StarHub today announced that it will offer SME customers free subscriptions to the softphone app (“SmartUC Mobile”) of its cloud telephony solution, till 1 September 2020. In view of potential escalations in the novel coronavirus situation, SME customers are actively considering adding on services like SmartUC Mobile as they put in place business continuity plans for remote work capabilities.

With SmartUC Mobile, SME customers and their employees will not need to be in the office to make or receive their landline calls. They can easily remain contactable through their respective landline numbers from remote locations, by using the softphone app installed in their mobile phones and/ or laptops. They can also conveniently retrieve voicemail messages that are sent directly to their email inboxes.

“For continuation of business in times of emergency, companies may need to arrange for their employees to work remotely. Seamless communication is therefore essential to ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. We hope our small gesture will help SME customers to manage business risks and maintain continued operations in view of current developments,” said Charlie Chan, Chief of Enterprise Business Group, StarHub.

StarHub will progressively reach out to its SME customers to inform them about this initiative. To get started, customers can immediately contact the StarHub Business Hotline at 1800 888-8888 or visit www.starhub.com/freesmartuc from tomorrow, 13 February 2020.
