17
How do I improve the Wi-Fi range of TP-Link Deco X20?

The Deco X20’s Wi-Fi range is affected by wireless interference, physical impediments, and the location of the Deco X20. To improve the Wi-Fi range, you can try the following:

  • Place the Deco X20 higher for better coverage.
  • Move the Deco X20 off the floor and away from walls and metal objects (e.g., metal file cabinets). Metal objects, walls, and floors interfere with wireless signals. The closer your Deco X20 is to these obstructions, the greater the interference.
  • Move the Deco X20 away from electric devices such as those that transmit Bluetooth, other USB 3.0 devices, and the microwave. These devices radiate noise on the 2.4GHz band and affect the Wi-Fi range of the Deco X20.
