What is HBO GO?
HBO GO is an on-demand streaming service that allows StarHub TV customers with eligible subscription(s) to enjoy thousands of hours of exciting content over multiple devices, anytime, anywhere.
It offers access to a vast library of content spanning from exclusive HBO and HBO Asia original series, movies and documentaries, to Hollywood blockbusters, Asian dramas and movies, and even an extensive selection of kid-friendly content. There’s something for everyone!

How often are new shows uploaded to HBO GO?
New movies and series episodes to HBO GO are added every single week throughout the year.
You can even enjoy the newest HBO Original series episodes at the same time as it premieres in the U.S.!
Are all HBO shows available via HBO GO?
HBO GO contains an extensive library of HBO Originals that include all its original series, HBO movies, documentaries and comedies. With over 1,500 hours of HBO Original content, the HBO GO library includes content that has never been seen on the HBO linear service in Asia previously.
What is the difference between HBO GO and HBO On Demand?
The HBO On Demand service is only available via the StarHub set top box, StarHub TV+ web and app. The content selection on HBO On Demand is updated regularly.
HBO GO is available on web and mobile devices. When you use HBO GO, you have a wider selection of Hollywood Blockbusters and HBO movies, series and other programmes – over 1,500 hours of library and current content that will remain on the service and added on as and when they become available. With HBO GO, you can watch your favourite shows and movies anytime, anywhere.
I received an SMS about HBO Pak Price Adjustment. What is this about?
Effective this year, HBO revised its pricing to $14.48/month. To remain consistent and to align on pricing with our partner, the updated pricing is reflected accordingly, with the effective date of 1 April 2024.
When will the new subscription fee take effect?
The new subscription fee of $14.48/month (with GST) will take effect from 1 April 2024. The updated price applies to both existing and new subscribers.

Yes, the charges will be pro-rated.

How do I subscribe to HBO GO with StarHub?
For existing StarHub TV subscribers with Basic Tier subscription
HBO GO is available if you are subscribed to one of the following add-on packages and the StarHub TV Go Value-Added Service at $5.45 per month:
- HBO Pak
- Box Office Pack
- Supreme Box Office Pack
For existing StarHub Entertainment Pass subscribers
HBO GO is available as complimentary access if you are subscribed to either Movies Pass or HBO Pak. You can add Movies Pass or HBO Pak via the Fibre TV set-top box by tuning to Ch 601 and press the Blue button on your remote control to subscribe, or simply modify your subscription via the StarHub App.
For new and existing StarHub TV+ subscribers
You can sign up for StarHub TV+ with any StarHub TV+ Pass and add-on HBO Pak to enjoy complimentary access to HBO GO. For current promotions, please visit here.
Existing StarHub TV+ customers can add-on HBO Pak via StarHub App to enjoy complimentary access to HBO GO. Once your HBO Pak is activated, you can proceed to activate your HBO GO access.

I have multiple eligible subscriptions. Do I enjoy multiple complimentary access to HBO GO?
You’ll only be able to enjoy 1 complimentary access to HBO GO regardless of the number of eligible subscriptions you have (under the same customer account).
Is activation required for HBO GO and is there any expiry period?
You can activate your complimentary access for HBO GO using your Hub iD as soon as you receive the SMS notifying you that your eligible subscription (e.g. HBO Pak) is successfully activated. Just ensure that you have an active subscription to the eligible StarHub TV subscription(s).
I’m an existing HBO GO subscriber. How can I enjoy my HBO GO access that comes with my StarHub TV subscription?
If you’re an existing HBO GO subscriber, you’ll need to create a new HBO GO account with a different email address and link it to your Hub iD.
Do note that your existing direct subscription to HBO GO will continue.
What will happen to my complimentary access to HBO GO if I remove my eligible StarHub TV subscription(s)?
Unfortunately, your complimentary access to HBO GO will be terminated as well.
What will happen to my complimentary access to HBO GO if I terminate my StarHub TV service?
Unfortunately, your complimentary access to HBO GO will be terminated as well.
What will happen to my complimentary access to HBO GO if I transfer the ownership of my StarHub TV service?
Unfortunately, your complimentary access to HBO GO will be terminated. The new owner of your StarHub TV service will have the complimentary access to HBO GO as long as they keep the eligible StarHub TV subscription(s). They will need to log in with their Hub iD to start their access.
What will happen to my complimentary access to HBO GO if I suspend my StarHub TV service?
Your complimentary access to HBO GO will be paused and you’ll need to re-activate your HBO GO access using your Hub iD once your StarHub TV service resumes.

How will I be billed for HBO GO?
HBO GO will be billed to your StarHub bill monthly.
If I have a HBO GO subscription only, can I watch HBO channels on my StarHub set-top box?
No. You need to be subscribed to HBO channels on your StarHub TV subscription to be able to watch them on your StarHub set-top box.
How do I unsubscribe from HBO GO?
We hope you’ll never find a reason to leave HBO GO. Nevertheless, to cancel, log in to My Account > Internet TV. Termination is immediate and the monthly charge will be pro-rated accordingly.

How do I access HBO GO on the StarHub TV+ Box or StarHub TV+ Pro?
First, you’ll need to activate your HBO GO complimentary access using your Hub iD on the HBO GO mobile app.
Thereafter, you can access the HBO GO app on the StarHub TV+ Box or StarHub TV+ Pro under Featured Apps on the home screen.
How many devices can I use to stream on HBO GO at the same time?
You can link up to 10 registered devices to your account (subject to 2 concurrent streams). Web browsers are counted as individual devices.
Can I download movies and shows on HBO GO?
You can watch your favourite shows on-the-go without an Internet connection. Simply click on the Download icon to start downloading the show to your device. We recommend that you download your shows over a WiFi network to minimize data usage.
You may download up to 20 pieces of content in total across your registered devices. Some shows may only be downloaded for a limited number of times due to licensing rights.
Downloaded content will expire up to 30 days after download, or 48 hours after you press play, whichever comes first.

Will mobile data charges apply when I stream on HBO GO?
Do note that any mobile data used while streaming on HBO GO will be deducted from your data allowance bundle. A friendly tip: Use your home WiFi to stream to avoid data bill shock, or you can download your favourite shows onto your mobile devices to watch on-the-go without an Internet connection.
Are there restricted content on HBO GO?
Yes, there are selected content on HBO GO with the following content classifications:
• General - Suitable for all ages.
• Parental Guidance (PG) - Suitable for all, but parents should guide their young.
• Parental Guidance 13 (PG13) - Suitable for persons aged 13 and above but parental guidance is advised for children below 13.
• No Children Under 16 (NC16) - Suitable for persons aged 16 and above.
• Mature 18 (M18) - Suitable for persons aged 18 and above
• Restricted 21 (R21) - Restricted to persons aged 21 and above.
As a parent, how can I ensure that it is safe for my kids to stream on HBO GO?
A R21/Parental Control PIN is required to access restricted content on HBO GO app.

Are Chromecast and Airplay supported on the HBO GO app?
Yes, you can make use of the Airplay and Chromecast functionality to cast the shows to TV screens.
Can I use HBO GO outside of Singapore?
You will only have access to HBO GO within the country your subscription is based. However, you can make use of the Download function to download your favourite series and movies before your trip and watch them offline while you are overseas!
Note: To access your downloaded content while travelling, do ensure that you are logged in to the HBO GO app before leaving the country.

How do I activate HBO GO?
If you're a first-time user, follow these steps to start using HBO GO.
Step 1: Launch the HBO GO app (make sure you have the latest version) or go to www.hbogoasia.com and create an account (email and password).
Step 2: Select the StarHub logo on the "Select Your Billing Method" page.
Step 3: Link your HBO GO subscription to StarHub by providing your Hub iD and password.
Step 4: Once linked, you will see this message:
